“I’ve had a very positive experience with Family Care Center. Dr. Phan Thuy has provided excellent psychiatric care, professional, attentive, and genuinely supportive. She takes the time to listen and makes you feel respected and understood during appointments. I also want to specifically recognize Melissa, one of the assistants. She has been incredibly kind, caring, and personable every time I visit. Her attitude is always positive, and she goes out of her way to make patients feel comfortable and welcome. That level of compassion really makes a difference when you’re seeking care. Nick, another assistant, has also been very helpful whenever I call the office. He’s friendly, professional, and even remembers my name, which makes interactions feel much more personal. Overall, the entire team has been respectful, supportive, and professional. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their patients, and I’m grateful for the care I’ve received here.”

“I’ve truly enjoyed working with Jessica—she’s kind, compassionate, and easy to work with, and I value the care she has provided to me the last 2 years. Unfortunately, my most recent interaction with her CMA, Melissa, was enough for me to decide to transfer my care to a different practice. On the 1st, Melissa called regarding my medications and was told I couldn’t be seen until the 20th because my vitals needed to be updated—even though I already had an appointment scheduled for the 4th. There were obvious solutions here that weren’t even considered, like keeping my appointment on the 4th as a telehealth visit and having me come into the office the same day for vitals. Instead, I was essentially told to wait, despite the fact that interrupting my medication could cause withdrawal from an abrupt stop. All this while I, too, am at work. What followed made the situation worse. After the call, I received an email stating the conversation had been recorded, would be sent to leadership, and that I needed to “respect” her moving forward. That tone was unnecessary, unprofessional, and honestly alarming coming from someone in a patient-facing role—especially in a mental health setting. I expect better communication, basic problem-solving, and professionalism when it comes to care—especially mental health care. This experience fell short on all fronts and ultimately led to my decision to go elsewhere”
