What patients say on Google

“As a new patient, I had a great experience. Everyone was kind, respectful, and made me feel comfortable. I really appreciated the time they took to listen to me and answer my questions. I'm grateful for the care I received and would definitely recommend Amavi to others.”

“Sean is great. He’s caring, attentive, he has a good personality which makes it easier to converse about things. He’s not a robot. He listens well and collaborates on medication, 💊 which I appreciate. I highly recommend Amavi and Sean McNamara as a practitioner. The practice is very communicative and easy to work with and it’s on my insurance plan, so it’s a win for me. 🏆”

“EDITED 3/4/26 Once again, they've charged my card $180 for unexplained reasons and have not returned my calls and emails for explanation. I will be elevating this to the Better Business Bureau and any other agencies that protect consumers. I gave them ample time to remedy this again and am disgusted at the lack of common courtesy. BEWARE of this unethical practice which borders on criminal thievery. --------------- EDITED to ADD: I received a call from Glenda stating that they refunded my no-call, no-show fee, minus the outstanding balance I had from insurance from earlier visits. This resolves my issue to my satisfaction. I sought out this practice to have a local, in-person alternative to the online psychiatric providers I'd been using to manage my ADHD medications. Unfortunately, they are still mostly online/telehealth providers. After I missed an appointment with an NP (or PA, not sure, just not a doctor) because I was out of town at a funeral and did not have my phone, I was charged $219.19! Mitchell called and left a voicemail but I didn't receive it until I returned home much later. I also never received a reminder phone call or text for the appointment which had evidently been scheduled 3 months prior. I reached out to the office and have not received a response. I think it is entirely acceptable to charge a REASONABLE no-show fee of $50 or less, but to charge the full amount for a service that was never received is ridiculous! Furthermore, it is cruel to punish someone who already struggles with executive functioning by requiring them to find an app, download it, create an account, remember the password, and use said unfriendly, inaccesible app to "communicate" with the office. Perhaps the average Niwot citizen can afford to pay such an extraordinary fee, but this FORMER patient had to work an extra half day to cover my innocent mistake.”

“This is a horrible organization. People are customers - not patients or clients. I called in a crisis and they asked me what I expected them to do. "Call 911 if it's that bad". Also, I believe they do business fraudulently. They called a year after I stopped seeing them and asked for my credit card over the phone, "to update their database". I then got a bill for $500 for services I had not received. Two months later, they had changed the balance to $350. I truly believe they would have charged my card without authorization if I had provided my number. I have filed a report with my insurance saying the charge was fraudulent.”
